Out & About

beach runGood food and good thoughts…

are something I could horde and keep to myself, eating fabulous local foods, talking to great people, hearing news and stories, making observations about life and food and times… but why do something so selfish?

In order to spread the wonderfulness, I have made food my life and work. I am out and about publishing, promoting, feeding and eating all around. Here are some spots you can go to see my work that does not make the site or other places.

Naturally Savvy. comMy Naturally Savvy Chef Page.

I will supplying articles and recipes to this yummy site with links and pages about many other green and natural products, people and places. A well done place I am happy to be with. Great ladies behind this, too!

Claire Fountain; Cultural Correspondent.

“In our opinion Claire is one of the sassiest writers currently terrorizing gentiles and half naked men and women and from time to time the restaurant owners that feed such people. Heralding from the South, she is very up to date on her manners and etiquette unlike you we imagine…”

Buttermilk Wedding Day Buttermilk Inn & Falls

I will always have a soft spot for tucked away places in the Hudson Valley that are not only beautiful… but are real in what they do. Having the priveledge to work for this charming B & B, left me happy to promote it for years to come. The team here always has something great going on or new additions being born (and this does not just mean the new baby llama that was born the spring of 2009!) Using organic and environmentally sound products and foods, even the Spa located on site is natural and “green.” Eggs came from the hens, herbs from the garden… along with berries, apples, cherries, lettuces, other vegetables. Honey from the bees, loafahs and soap made with their own items, jams and jellies when the gardens are good to us… and hey, you can sleep in the pre-revolutionary house as well. No season is not a good time to go visit. You might even find me bouncing around helping out, making scones, chatting with the llamas or taking in the breath taking views of the Hudson Valley.

Here is a post I wrote about my days at the B & B, which are still going on from time to time… to my pleasure and enjoyment. [link]
